Mika joined the South Florida offices of Colliers International in 2016, launching the firm’s Urban Core Division. With a strong foundation in building-level market data and a knack for navigating the complexities of developing neighborhoods and urban zoning, she established herself as the premier real estate expert in Downtown Miami.
Mika has been an integral and powerful force in the metamorphosis of Miami’s emerging urban neighborhoods. Her keen intuition in pinpointing blighted areas poised for explosive growth has allowed her clients to assemble properties under the radar before the neighborhood begins to evolve. Previously ignored buildings have become sought-after destinations that attract high-profile tenants. Mika’s expertise at targeting specific locations for clients has proven itself: she achieved critical mass by assembling 58 off market assets in Miami’s downtown urban core.
Mika began her career in real estate in late 2006, learning the ropes on the tail end of the last boom. She hustled note sales in the crash years that followed. When the market began to recover, Mika turned her attention to emerging neighborhoods in Miami’s urban core.
Mika developed an international client base of investors who recognized her talent for getting complicated deals done. Her recent assemblage in Downtown Miami totaled more than 1 million square feet. Most of these buildings had not changed hands in almost 80 years. Mika walked the block, hitting the pavement and meeting the owners for an early-morning coffee. Mika’s organic ability, street manner, and negotiating skills–combined with her high level of integrity–kept clients coming back for repeat business.
